BCCLT News

The Keynoter and the Key West Citizen each gave nice coverage to BCCLT's renovation project on Julia Street.

This note is from Adrian Poitier, BCCLTs Project Manager:

"NOW YOU ALL GET AN OPPORTUNITY TO SEE WHY I'VE BEEN TOO BUSY FOR MOST OF YOU. IT IS A BLESSING TO BE RECOGNIZED FOR YOUR EFFORTS. I NEVER THOUGHT THE PAPER WOULD PRINT A STORY ABOUT WHAT WE ARE TRYING TO DO HERE IN KEY WEST BUT THEY DID. I WANTED TO SHARE MY EXCITEMENT AND GRATITUDE WITH YOU ALL, THE PEOPLE I LOVE AND ADORE. BE BLESSED, YOU ARE ALL IN MY PRAYERS ALTHOUGH YOU MAY NOT SEE OR TALK WITH ME REGULARLY...."

                                          ONE PERFECT LOVE,
                                                    ADRIAN

Julia Street Project

The BCCLT will celebrate tomorrow afternoon the completion of its project to rehabilitate two buildings on Julia Street that had fallen into disrepair. The buildings will provide low income housing for homeless individuals and families or those at risk of becoming homeless. In addition, a portion of one of the buildings will become the permanent offices of BCCLT, offering residents a neighborhood-based source of information about housing programs that can benefit homeowners and renters.
The Julia Street project was completed with assistance received from the State of Florida through the Southernmost Homeless Assistance League (SHAL). The event will be from 2-3 PM at 307 and 307-1/2 Julia Street.

For more information call the BCCLT office at 292-9692.
